Participating at the AI Mastery Summit: Leading Bangladesh’s AI Future

On 19th June 2026, the ‘AI Summit’ was held with the participation of top officials from the country’s corporate sectors including banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and garment industries. I was invited as a guest to be present at the Summit and speak brief at it.

More than a hundred top-level officials from various corporate organizations participated in this summit, held for the first time in the country. The summit titled ‘AI Mastery Summit: Leading Bangladesh’s AI Future’ was held at a hotel in Gulshan, the capital, from 9 am to 12 noon today, Friday.

The summit was organized by ‘MyAI’, an organization working on artificial intelligence (AI). An ‘AI Fluency’ workshop was also held alongside the summit.

The main objective of the organization, MyAI is to make artificial intelligence a common capability of professionals in Bangladesh, not just a skill for experts. Today’s conference marks the beginning of the journey towards achieving that objective.

This is the first conference on AI in Bangladesh focusing on senior leadership of the corporate sector. MyAI is conducting a two-month AI capability development program. The conference was the first physical event of the program titled ‘AI for Professional Success (AIPS).

The conference featured Sultan Mahbubul Haque, Chief Human Resources Officer, Square Textiles; Raisul Kabir, Founder and CEO, Brain Station-23 PLC; Mahmudul Hasan Akhand, Executive Vice President and Head of Human Resources, Prime Bank; and Md. Morshedul Haque, Chief Financial Officer, Bitpi Group and Sadiq M Alam, Managing Director from Metamorphosis Ltd. In their speeches, they highlighted their experiences in applying artificial intelligence and leadership in their respective sectors.

Saif Noman Khan, co-founder of MyAI and associate professor at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, said that Bangladesh will have to quickly adapt to the changes that have emerged in the new wave of artificial intelligence (AI) around the world. Although AI is still in its infancy, it is evolving rapidly. Professionals need to be 'AI-ready' from now on.

Saif Noman Khan commented that the corporate sector of Bangladesh cannot be left out of this global change. He said that for this purpose, initiatives have been taken to build AI skills and awareness among professionals leading the country's industrial sector.

More than a hundred top-level officials from various corporate organizations participated in the AI ​​Summit.

Mark Anupam Mallick, founder of Idean Consulting and co-founder of MyAI, said, "The big industries of Bangladesh are running in the hands of those in this room. They will decide how quickly the country will adopt artificial intelligence. We want to build an AI-aware Bangladesh—starting with those who guide the direction of banking, manufacturing and healthcare."
